Floyd E. Hall
Former Proprietor

Floyd E. Hall was born and raised in Sage Township, Gladwin County, on October 7, 1895. He became licensed in the Art of Mortuary Science in 1916 and moved into Beaverton to begin his practice. In May 1966, Floyd was honored by the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, with a Fifty Year license.

William H. Hall
Former Proprietor

William H. Hall was born on April 24, 1921, to Floyd and Arwilda Matilda (White) Hall in Beaverton, Michigan. He was a Funeral Director for 60 years, graduating from Wayne State University with a degree in Mortuary Science. Former owner and operator of Hall Funeral Home from 1958 until 1985 and also was the Gladwin County Clerk from January 6, 1965, until December 31, 1984.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. He was the Past President of County Clerk’s Association, Gladwin Mason Member, a lifetime member of the Gladwin Rotary Club, 30 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He married Shirley on June 12, 1942, in Angola, Indiana. She preceded him in death in 2004. He is survived by his son, Dennis Hall and his wife, Janice Mienk, of Saginaw, Michigan; his son, Jeff Hall and his wife, Coleen, of Jerome, Arizona; his daughter, Teri Hawley and her husband, Kevin, of Toledo, Ohio; his daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hall of Gladwin, Michigan; seven grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Louis Hall and his wife, Peggy, of Elk Rapids, Michigan; brother, Donald Hall and his wife, Ulra, of Beaverton, Michigan; and sister, Francis Ferrell and her husband, Richard, of Gladwin, Michigan.

He passed away on April 14, 2006 in Gladwin, Michigan, at the age of 84 years old.

Thomas W. Hall

On May 31, 2001 Hall Funeral Home suffered a great loss when Thomas W. Hall, former proprietor, passed away.

Hall Funeral Home has been in operation since 1916 when it was established by Tom's grandfather, Floyd Hall. It was located at 310 N. Bowery. Tom's father, William Hall joined his father and uncle in the family business in 1958. Tom began working there in 1970 and became owner and operator in 1985. He has and will continue to be greatly missed "Tom took a lot of pride in serving the families in Gladwin County," said his wife Carolyn Hall. "He had a lot of respect for them and took pride in his business of in helping people."

Lyle B. Gary

Lyle B. Gary was born on October 31, 1943, in Gladwin, Michigan, to Kenneth and Jean (Nestell) Gary.

He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. He was a member of the Gladwin Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church of Gladwin. He retired from General Motors in 1995 after 31 years as a factory worker in the Saginaw Steering Gear Division.

He married Shari Pickard on May 18, 1963, in Gladwin, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Shari Gary of Gladwin, MI; his two sons, Troy and Todd Gary, both of Gladwin, MI; his two grandsons, Alec and Ethan; his daughter, Deborah and Lindsey Semple of Gillette, WY; his sister, Carol and Bill Clarke of Gladwin, MI; his mother, Jean Gary of Gladwin, MI; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Evelyn Pickard of Gladwin, MI; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Dee-Dee.

Lyle passed away on July 3, 2006 , in Gladwin , Michigan , at the age of 62 years old.

Keith Michael Kokotovich, Sr.

Keith Michael Kokotovich, Sr. was born on February 2, 1968, in Detroit, Michigan, to Ivan Sr. and Stephanie Kokotovich.

He married the former Tiffiny Wilber on September 5, 1992, in Detroit. They resided in Columbiaville.

He worked for Utica Enterprises as a design engineer. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing, especially with his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his wife, Tiffiny; his children, Keith Jr., Hunter and Kayla; his parents, Ivan and Stephanie Kokotovich; his brothers, Ivan and his wife, Donna, of Rochester Hills; Kenny and his wife, Lisa, of Macomb Township, and Chris and his wife, Jen, of Gladwin; his grandparents, Anna Milosic of Clarkston, and Nick and Slavka Kokotovich of Wales, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Bryan, Aaron, Kyle, Chloe and Austin. Tiffiny’s parents include Dale and Rita Otto of Bad Axe, and Dave and Judy Wilber of Romulus; and her sister and brother are Nicki Szyndler and her husband, Eric, of Las Vegas, and Nathan Wilbur.

He passed away on June 9, 2004, at the age of 36 years old.

Funeral services took place at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo, with Uncle Joe Milosic officiated.
