The Hall Funeral Home was founded in November of 1916 by Floyd E. Hall. He was born and raised in Sage Township , Gladwin County , just three miles north of the city of Gladwin . Mr. Hall became licensed by the State of Michigan to practice the Art of Mortuary Science in 1916 and began his business in Beaverton at that time.

During that era, there were no funeral homes in Gladwin county as there are today. A funeral director was called to provide services and they went to the home to arrange the necessary details. The visitation was usually held in the home and then the deceased was taken to a church for the funeral service.

In the mid 1930's, Mr. Hall bought a building on Main Street in Gladwin to better serve the Gladwin area. The building still exists today but is now the home of Rudy's Barber Shop and the Bratton Clinic.

In the mid 1940's Mr. Hall bought a larger home on North Bowery Avenue in Gladwin and made a funeral home out of it. That home was operated as a funeral home until 1985 when a completely new building was constructed at 440 E. Cedar Avenue in Gladwin.

In 1969 the property of William E. Lang was purchased in the city of Beaverton and a funeral home was constructed. It was opened in 1970 to better serve the southern part of Gladwin County and still remains in operation.

In April of 2001 Chris and Jennifer Kokotovich purchased the business. They are proud to offer families the same services as was previously provided. They continue to support Gladwin County and strive to offer the best service available.

The Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home is proud to offer
these two facilities to the families we serve.
